“Giáo Xứ Lòng Thương Xót Chúa là một Giáo Xứ Công Giáo trong Giáo Phận Knoxville luôn tôn thờ một Thiên Chúa, tuân theo Giáo Luật và Giáo Huấn của Giáo Hội Công Giáo, thực thi đức bác ái với tha nhân, loan báo và phổ biến rộng rãi Tin Mừng cho tất cả mọi người, duy trì những truyền thống tốt đẹp của Giáo Hội Việt Nam, bảo tồn, phát huy tinh thần văn hoá và ngôn ngữ dân tộc Việt, và không tham gia các đảng phái mà Giáo Hội không cho phép.” (Nội Quy Giáo Xứ, II:5-6).
